Our Definition:

A Soul is something that every person at one point or another had possessed. When a person is born he is born with a soul, it is his birth given right to own one. However once that person is born his soul enters the fair market. Where it can be either traded or sold. The soul is immortal and lives even after the human has passed. For this reason the soul is far more valuable than any tangible good.

If you own someone else’s soul, you own that person. It does not matter what that person accomplishes in life, at the end he is still a servant to you. The only way to break out of this is for that person to purchase his soul back. Thus, the ownership or even the partial ownership of a soul can be very valuable.
